OBITUARY
Wilson Allen Counts was born in Lafayette County, Ohio,
October 21, 1848 and in 1852 came with his parents to Cedar County, Iowa.
He was united in marriage with Alice B. Owen, February 19, 1870 at Tipton,
Iowa, and to this union 12 children were born, 7 of whom survive. In 1876
they moved to Wilson County, Kansas, and resided there until 1901, then moving
to Klickitat County.
His wife, Alice, passed away January 18, 1917, at Blockhouse,
and on May 9, 1923 he was married to Katie Durant, of Firwood.
"Dad" Counts, as he was familiarly known, was a mail
carrier on the Star Route between Blockhouse and Goldendale for over 20 years.
He leaves to mourn him, his wife, Katie and three sons, Frank,
Charley and Ernest; four daughters, Ella Sutton, Lillian Daniels, Iva Milner
and Bessie Van Hoy, 42 grand children, 24 great grandchildren and many other
relatives and a host of friends.

Wilson Allen Counts was born in Ohio, Oct. 21, 1848,
and in 1852, with his parents, moved to Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Alice B. Owen, Feb. 19,
1870, at Tipton, Iowa. To the union were born 12 children, 7 of whom are
now living.
In 1876 they moved to Kansas, and in 1901, came out west
and settled in Klickitat. In 1916, his wife passed away, at their home in
the Blockhouse section. On May 9, 1923, he was married to Katie Durant of
Firwood.
Dad Counts, as he was familiary known, was a mail carrier
on the star route between the Blockhouse and Goldendale for over 20 years.
He leaves to mourn him, his wife, three sons, Frank,
Charley and Ernest; four daughters, Ella Satton, Lillian Daniels, Iva Milner,
and Bessie Vanhoy; also 42 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, many relatives,
and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Dec. 11, 1928, at Goldendale,
Rev. Young in charge.
