MASONIC RITES FOR WM. AUSTIN
Masonic funeral services will be held for William E.
Austin, 80, of White Salmon at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 10 at Gardner's
Chapel, Rev. George McKinnis, Jr. will officiate.
Burial will be in the White Salmon Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be members of the White Salmon Masonic Lodge, acting
in behalf of the Oregon City lodge to which he had belonged for 50 years.
Mr. Austin was born April 28, 1882, at Winters, Calif..
He was a retired boat operator and moved to White Salmon several years ago.
He died at Reed's Nursing Home Monday, Jan. 7.
Mr. Austin is survived by five nephews and for nieces,
including Hugh Allison and Mrs. Robert (Ida) Reed, both of White Salmon.
The others are living in California, Illinois and Missouri.

AUSTIN RITES ON THURSDAY AT GARDNER'S
Funeral services for Mr. William E. Austin will be held
Thursday, January 10th, at 2 p.m. at the Gardner's Funeral Home. Mr. Austin
passed away January 7th at Reed's Nursing Home. He was a retired boating
operator and had made his home in this community for several years.
Surviving are nine nieces and nephews: Miles Allson of
Wappapello, Missouri; James Allison of Puxico, Missouri; John R. Allison
of Elmhurst, Illinois; Edwin Allison of Firebaugh, Calif.; Hugh Allison of
White Salmon, Wn.; Sarah Ashbaugh of Puxico, Missouri; Mary Abernathie Cairo,
Illinois; Nellie Holcomb of Yuba City, Calif.; and Mrs. Robert (Ida) Reed
of White Salmon.
The Masonic Lodge will render it the Masonic rights.
Mr. Austin was a 50 year member of the Order and a member of the Oregon City
Lodge. The Rev. Mr. Upton Fuller will also officiate. Interment will be the
White Salmon I.O.OF. Cemetery.
