WILLIAM B. BERTSCHI
Mr. William B. Bertschi, pioneer resident of Klickitat
county and Glenwood, passed away at the Pioneer Lutheran Home in Colton,
Oregon, on October 14th. Mr. Bertschi was born May 27, 1882 in Klickitat
County.
Surviving are a brother, V.C. Bertschi of Glenwood, a
sister, Ludell Markgraf of Klickitat, and also ten nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 17th at 10 a.m.
at Gardner's Chapel with Preston Smith, pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist
church officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Adams Cemetery at Glenwood,
Washington.
Casket bearers were: Ralph Parsons, Frank Markgraf, Carl
Teel, Ted Markgraf, Frank Ward, Waldy Markgraf.
Honorary bearers were R.R. Kreps, R.R. Wellenbrock,
Max Ladiges, Frank Lyle, Frank Leaton, H.F. Kuhnhausen.

DEATH CALLS BILL BERTSCHI
Services for William B. Bertschi, 78, Glenwood farmer,
were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Gardner's Chapel, White Salmon. Elder
Preston Smith of the White Salmon the Seventh-day Adventist church officiated.
Burial was out of Mt. Adams Cemetery, Glenwood.
Basket bearers were Ralph Parsons, Carl Wall, Frank Ward,
Frank, Ted and Waldy Markgraf. Honorary bearers were R.R. Kreps, R.R.
Wellenbrock, Max Ladiges, Frank Lyle , Frank Leaton and H.F. Kuhnhausen.
Mr. Bertschi was born in May 27, 1882 at Panakanic and
died Friday, October 14, 1960 at the Pioneer Lutheran Home, Colton, Oregon.
Where here has been hospitalized since suffering a stroke 2½ years ago.
He is survived by a brother, V.C. Bertschi of Glenwood;
sister, LuDell Markgraf of Klickitat; 10 nieces and nephews.
