WALTER D. LOGUE
Walter D. Logue, 79, of Murdock, died Monday, June 12,
at The Dalles. Graveside services will be held Thursday, today, at Lyle Balch
Cemetery in Lyle, beginning at 2 p.m.
Born Sept. 4, 1909, in Cascade, Idaho, to Winnie (Dexter)
and Thomas E. Logue. Mr. Logue grew up in Idaho. He married Vava M. Jones
April 20, 1935, in Cascade, Idaho.
Mr. Logue worked in construction and logging around the
Northwest before retiring in 1973. In 1984, the couple moved to Murdock,
where Mr. Logue was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed to fish and garden, and especially enjoyed
his grandchildren.
Mr. Logue is survived by his wife Vava Logue of Murdock,
children Afton Fanger of The Dalles, Howard W. Logue of Murdock and David
R. Logue of Lyle, sister Leona Gray of Dinuba, Calif., seven grandchildren
and five great grandchildren.
Contributions in Mr. Logue's name may be given to the
American Cancer Society.

WALTER D. LOGUE
Walter D. Logue, 79, a resident of Murdock since 1954,
died at the local hospital Monday.
He was born Sept. 4, 1909 in Cascade, Idaho to Thomas
and Winnie Logue.
He grew up in Idaho and married Vava Jones in Cascade
on April 20, 1935.
They moved around the northwest where he worked in
construction and as a logger before moving to Murdock. He was a member of
the United Methodist Church. He liked to fish and garden.
Survivors include his wife in Murdock, a daugher, Afton
Fanger, The Dalles, two sons, Howard Logue, Murdock, and David Logue, Lyle,
a sister, Leona Gray, Dinuba, Calif., seven grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lyle
Balch Cemetery in Lyle.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
