WILLIAM BATES

     William Griscom Bates, a recent Trout Lake resident, died at his home on Oct. 21, 1996, at the age of 62.
     Mr. Bates was born Dec. 7, 1933, in Sellersville, Penn., to Elizabeth (Griscom) and William Bates. He was raised in Pennsylvania and spent his working career there. He served in the Air Force, worked as a consultant on glass tempering and had an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
     Mr. Bates bought property in Trout Lake in 1988 and has lived there for the last 2½ years.
     Mr. Bates is survived by sons Ken Bates and Brian Bates, both of Sellersville, Penn.
     Graveside services were held Monday, Oct. 28, 1996, at Trout Lake Cemetery at 1 p.m., with Rev. Sigmund Podlosny Jr. officiating.
