WM. LANE FUNERAL TO BE HELD TODAY
Funeral services for William Lane, who passed away Monday in a Portland Hospital, will be held at Gardner's Chapel at 2 o'clock this Friday afternoon.

FUNERAL FOR WM. LANE HELD HERE LAST FRIDAY
Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon, December
17, at the Gardner Chapel in White Salmon for Wm. G. Lane, who passed away
on December 13 at the Good Samaritan hospital in Portland, Oregon. Burial
was in the Underwood Cemetery.
Wm. G. Lane was born in Arkansas and came west with his
parents to The Dalles, Oregon, fifty five years ago. He was 64 years of age
on June 30, 1943.
For some years since 1925 he was in the restaurant business
in the Yakima valley, then for eighteen years he was in the taxi business
while living in Underwood. He had been ill with kidney trouble for past four
or five years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lane, of White Salmon,
two brothers, Charley, Lyle, and Earl of Salem, Oregon; two sisters, Oliver
Roberts, of Gaston, Oregon, and Effie Bond, of Blanchard, Oklahoma.
