WILHEMINA HILLJE LAUTERBACH
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 P.M.
for Wilhemina Hillje Lauterbach at the Gardner Funeral Home with interment
in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Mrs. Lauterbach was born October 1, 1862 in Freisburg,
Texas, and died Tuesday, May 20, at the Hood River hospital following a fall
in which she suffered a broken hip Saturday.
She was married April 19, 1883 to Rudolph Lauterbach
in Waco, Texas, and in December, 1893, moved to White Salmon. She was the
mother of eight children, seven of whom survive her.
The following children are Algra Wyers, John, August,
Wm. R., Henry L. all of White Salmon; Meta of Hood River; and Louise of Portland.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great
grandchildren in White Salmon and three sisters and one brother, Anna Becker,
Helen Fehrenkamp, Louise Sehilhab and John Hillje of Texas.

MOTHER LAUTERBACH PASSES TUESDAY
Wilhemina Hillje Lauterbach, Beloved White Salmon resident,
aged 79 years, passed away on May 20, 1941 at the Hood River hospital.
Wilhemina Hillje Lauterbach was born on October 1, 1862
at Freisburg, Texas. Wilhemina Hillje was married to Rudolph Lauterbach on
April 19, 1883 at Wasco, Texas. To this union were born eight children, one
child passing on.
Wilhemina Hillje Lauterbach is survived by her seven
children, Mrs. Olga Wyers, John Lauterbach, August Lauterbach, William Lauterbach
and Henry Lauterbach, all of White Salmon, and Meta Lauterbach, of Hood River
and Louise, of Portland, Oregon.
Seven grandchildren and five great-grand children also
survive. Three sisters: Anna Becker, Helen Fehrankamp and Louise Schilhab,
and one brother, John L. Hillje, of Texas also survive.
Mother Lauterbach moved to White Salmon in December of
1893 and bought the property west of Main street in what was later the town
of White Salmon.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church and a member
of the United Artsans lodge. Funeral services were held yesterday at 2 P.M.
at Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon, with interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery
in this city. Gardner's Funeral Service had charge of arrangements.

WHITE SALMON PIONEER PASSES
Funeral services for Wilhemina Hillje Lauterbach, 79,
a native of Freisburg, Texas, were held at the Gardner chapel, White Salmon,
on Thursday of last week, and interment was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in that
city.
Mother Lauterbach passed away in Hood River hospital
on May 20.
Mother Lauterbach was married to Rudolph Lauterbach on
April 19, 1883, at Wasco, Texas, and to this union were born eight children,
one of whom died. Mother Lauterbach moved to White Salmon in 1893, and purchased
property in what is now the town of White Salmon. She was a member of the
Lutheran church and of the United Artisans lodge.
Surviving members of the family are: Mrs. Olga Wyers,
John Lauterbach, August Lauterbach, William Lauterbach and Henry Lauterbach,
all of White Salmon, and Meta Lauterbach, matron of Hood River hospital,
and Louise Lauterbach, of Portland.
