William Garner, age 78, a pioneer of Klickitat county,
who died at his home four miles east of Lyle, Mar. 27, 1924, was buried in
the Lyle cemetery, Mar 29, Rev. Lamb of Appleton, officiating at the services.
Mr. Garner came to Washington from Illinois 43 years
ago. He lived in the eastern part of the state one year, when he moved to
Forest Grove, Ore., where he lived two years. Then he moved to Klickitat
county and took up a homestead near Lyle, where he lived the past 40 years.
Besides his widow, he leaves two sons, Jesse and Charles,
and one daughter, Rose Garner, all of Lyle.
Mr. Garner was a true pioneer, who was always a loving
husband and father and a kind neighbor.

"Lyle"
A large crowd attended the burial services of William Garner, Saturday, at the Lyle cemetery. Mr. Garner died March 27th, after a lingering illness. The many friends extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
