"Locals and Personals"

     The death of William J. Mulligan occurred last Saturday in The Dalles hospital, where he went in search of medical treatment. Mr. Mulligan had been in the country for only a week, arriving from Brooklyn, N.Y. He visited with his uncle William Mulligan, Sr., of Centerville, and family for a few days, and complaining of trouble in his head, went over to The Dalles for treatment. He was informed of his extremely serious condition, and told that there was no hope. He succumbed to paralysis of the brain. Deceased was about 40 years of age, single, and had lived in Brooklyn practically all of his life. He had held one position in that place for twenty-two years, and came west to improve his health. The funeral was held Monday of this week at 10:00 o'clock, from the Catholic church in this city. Interment followed in the Catholic cemetery of this place.

"Town and Country"

The funeral of William J. Mulligan, late of Brooklyn, N.Y., was held from the Catholic church, in this city, Monday, June 29, 1914, the interment taking place at the Catholic cemetery, near town. Mr. Mulligan had come to The Dalles for his health two weeks ago, was stricken with apoplexy Saturday and died. The deceased was 40 years of age.
