WILLIAM STANTON

     Services were held at Gardner's Funeral Service at 2 p.m., Monday, March 23, for William Stanton, 77 of Bingen. The Rev. Miss Louise Pinnell officiated. Interment was in the White Salmon IOOF cemetery.
     The deceased was born October 11, 1875 in Saginaw, Mich. and died at Clark County hospital in Vancouver, Wednesday, March 18. He was a logger for many years, but later a night watchman. As far as is known he had no living relatives.
     Little is known about his life before coming to Bingen. He resided at the City Center Cabins for many years and was well liked and respected by the proprietors. Final arrangements were made by his good friend, Ben DeBere.
