GLENWOOD PIONEER PASSES AWAY
William A. Jebe, pioneer resident of Glenwood, Washington,
passed away Wednesday, February 13.
He was a resident of the Glenwood section and Camas Prairie
country for the past 63 years. Funeral services will be held in Glenwood
laster this week with interment in the Mt. Adams cemetery. Funeral services
will be under the direction of Gardner's Funeral Home, of White Salmon.
William Jebe was 87 years old at the time of his passing.

WM. JEBE PASSES
William E. Jebe, one of the few remaining pioneers of
Camas Prairie and Glenwood, passed away Wednesday evening February 13 at
the White Salmon hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 17 at the
Glenwood church, with Rev. Jefferson conducting the services.
Mr. Jebe came from Germany when a young man and lived most of
his life in the Glenwood community. He is survived by his widow, Mary, his
daughter, Mrs. Tillie DeVoe and his son, John and three grandchildren and
four great grandchildren.
The community extends sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mr. Jebe was 87 years old and was an active Grange and church member.

WILLIAM JEBE RITES ARE HELD
Glenwood, Feb. 18 -- William A. Jebe, pioneer resident
of the Glenwood community, was laid to rest following services held Sunday
afternoon. He was 87 years of age at the time of his passing last Wednesday
and had spent 63 years in the Glenwood community.
Mr. Jebe was known over a large section of the county
and had numerous friends in and near Goldendale, having been a long-time
member of the Odd Fellows lodge of Goldendale.

WILLIAM FREDRICK JEBE
William Fredrick Jebe was born in Germany in the city
of Schelswig, October 27, 1858. He passed away February 13, 1946 at the age
of 87 years, 3 month and 18 days.
Mr. Jebe came to Klickitat direct from Germany in 1882.
He made application for citizenship at once and received his full citizenship
in 1885. In this same year he filed on a homestead in Camas Prairie and was
married to Margaretta Scheel. Three children were born to this union, John
H. of Seattle; Mrs. Matilda DeVor of Glenwood and William H. who passed away
at Toppenish in 1918.
Margaretta Jebe passed away May 20, 1893. From 1898 to
1901 Mr. Jebe was in Alaska. In 1913 he returned to Germany for a visit.
On November 11, 1915 he was married to Mary E. Andrews of Glenwood, where
they have made their home among their friends and neighbors for many years.
Mr. Jebe united with the Presbyterian Church in Glenwood
in 1915 and has served as a ruling elder for 31 years. He was also a charter
member of the Goldendale lodge of the IOOF and a member of the Glenwood Grange
for 50 years.
Surviving are his wife Mary, two children, three
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the
Glenwood Presbyterian Church with Gardner's Funeral Service in charge.
