WILLIAM L. BALSIGER
William L. Balsiger, a resident of White Salmon for the
last 78 years, died Jan. 15 in The Dalles at the age of 91.
Mr. Balsiger was born July 13, 1890, in Illinois, to
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Balsiger.
A retired orchardist, he was a member of the Grange,
the Mid-Columbia Horticultural Society and a charter member of the Bethel
Congregational Church.
Mr. Balsiger is survived by two children, Richard Balsiger,
White Salmon, and Dorothy Hoogstraat, Beaverton, Oregon; one sister, Esther
Hendryx, White Salmon; six grand-children and three great-grand children.
Funeral services for Mr. Balsiger were held Tuesday at
10:30 a.m. at the Bethel Congregational Church in White Salmon, with Dr.
Theodore Holland officiating. Burial will be in White Salmon. Contributions
may be given to the Bethel Congregational Church.
