ESHELMAN
Wayne Lee Eshelman, 46, died Oct. 29, 1981. He was born
in June 8, 1935 at Portland, Oregon.
Mr. Eshelman entered first grade in the one room school
at Horseshoe Bend, near Centerville, Wash. and continued his education in
the Centerville school, the Goldendale High School and the University of
Washington.
On April 6, 1963 he was married to Nyla (Shields) Bybee.
He spent his entire career in the electronics industry. First with Boeing
at Seattle and Huntsville, Alabama, with time out for the military where
he worked on the Bomarc missile guidance system. During the last 12 years
he worked for Tektronix in Beaverton, where he made definite contributions
to the electronics industry, including some original patents. He also played
a part in the preparations for the landing of the first man on the moon.
Survivors include his wife Nyla of Woodburn, Ore.; his
son Carl of Hillsboro, Ore.; one step-daughter, Wanna Otto of Beaverton,
Ore.; one brother, John D. of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mary K. Deaville,
of Hood River, Ore. and Martha Jean Smith of Seattle, Wash. and his parents,
Wayne L. and Katherine Smyser Eshelman of Goldendale.
Funeral services were held Monday at Knosher Funeral
Home with Robert Carder officiating. Pallbearers were: Bruce Blair, Stewart
McNaughten, Dan Carter, Ralph Holter, Charles Eshelman and Merwyn Eshelman.
