WILMA M. ELMER
Feb. 9, 1911 -- Sept. 30, 1997
Native Oregonian Wilma M. Elmer died Sept. 30 in Tigard
at the age of 86.
Mrs. Elmer was born Feb. 19, 1911, in Sheridan. She moved
to Oak Park, Ill. in 1918 at the age of seven, and returned to Oregon in
1929. She married Richard P. Elmer on April 29, 1933, in Portland and they
moved to Tualatin in 1951.
Mrs. Elmer was very active in the Eastern Star for 25
years and active in the Tigardville Rebekah Lodge No. 220. She was also an
American Red Cross volunteer.
Mrs. Elmer is survived by her husband Richard of Tualatin;
daughter of Joyce Hyland of Milwaukee; son Richard of Bend; daughters Barbara
Borlan, Beverly Meyer and Rebecca Arnold all of Bend; 15 grandchildren and
18 great-grandchildren of Oregon, Washington, California, and Colorado.
A memorial service was held Sunday at Young's Funeral
Home. A private family interment preceded the service.
Remembrances may be made to the American Red Cross.
