William M. Sill

William M. Sill at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chris
Franzen of Lyle, Washington, March 16, 1906, at the age of 84 years.
Deceased was born in New Richmond, Clearmont county,
Ohio, February 18, 1822, with his parents moving to Illinois in
1836.
He was married to Miss Elizabeth M. Thomas, September
13, 1860, and in 1871 with his wife and four children, moved to Oregon, remaining
there until 1882, when he moved to the state of Washington. He was the father
of six children, four of them, also his companion, having preceded him to
that brighter world.
When young he united with the Methodist church and remained
a true Christian to his death.
He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Henry Snipes, of The Dalles,
Oregon, and Mrs. Chris. Franzen of Lyle, Washington, and many friends to
mourn his loss.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.A. Luce, pastor
of the Methodist church of The Dalles church of The Dalles. The remains were
laid to rest in Lyle cemetery.
