FORMER LOGGER WILLIAM TUBBS PASSES NOV. 30
William Monroe Tubbs, age 61, passed away at Vancouver
Memorial Hospital in Vancouver on November 30th. Mr. Tubbs was born at Willard,
Washington on February 15th, 1908, the son of Della M. Fuller Tubbs and Charles
Henry Tubbs.
He had lived most of his life in the Glenwood and White
Salmon areas in logging work. The past 10 years he had been in poor health
and for the past several months he had lived with his son Nick in
Carson.
Surviving are four sons: Nick C. Tubbs of Carson, Washington;
William Richard Tubbs of Carson, Washington; Robert W. Tubbs and Mark Tubbs,
both of Renton, Washington. One daughter: Nita Morrison of North Carolina.
A stepson: Ronald Jaques of Napa, California. Two brothers: Elmer Tubbs of
Woodland, Washington; and Bert Tubbs of Prescott, Arizona. Five grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will beheld Friday, Dec. 5th, 1 p.m.
at Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon with Rev. Donald F. Castle of the
Nazarene Church of Carson officiating. Interment will follow in the White
Salmon Cemetery.
