HEART ATTACK TAKES LIFE OF W.M. WIIDANEN
William M. Wiidanen, 65, pioneer resident of the Centerville
community, died at his home Monday evening following a heart attack.
Funeral rites for Mr. Wiidanen were held from the Phillips
chapel in Goldendale Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.. Rev. C.E. Hanes, Baptist minister,
conducted the service. Interment was made in the Centerville Grange cemetery.
Mr. Wiidanen was born in Finland and came to this country
when nine years old. He had been a resident of the Centerville community
since that time.
Survivors include the widow, Ida, one daughter, Mrs.
Edna Simi; five sons, Burton, Albine, Francis, Merle and Wesley; two brothers,
Abraham and Edward, both of Portland; for sisters, Mrs. Mary Mattson of
Centerville, and Mrs. Ida Johnson, Mrs. Hilda Thorpe and Mrs. Anna Jelkrem,
all of Portland.
