HOOD RIVER'S PIONEER REUNION HELD AT ROCKFORD GRANGE HALL SEPTEMBER 15, 1928
The annual reunion of the Hood River Pioneer Society
was held last Saturday at Rockford Grange Hall where an approximate 250 members
and their families gathered for a basket dinner at noon and to exchange
reminiscences in the afternoon.
Judge Fred Wilson was here from The Dallas and gave the
chief talk of the day. Many pioneers were present from The Dallas and Portland.
An interesting feature of the reunion was the display of many old time pictures
which had been assembled by Mrs. A.K. Stranahan, curator of the society.
Officers of the Association who were elected last year and who will hold
over until next year are: Mrs. E.E. Lage, President, H.L. Howe, Secretary,
Mrs. T.R. Coon, Historian, Mrs. J.T. Ingalls and M.D. Odell, asst.
Historian.
