SAM HILL, NOTED GOOD ROADS BUILDER, DEAD

     The ashes of Sam Hill, who passed away in Portland last Thursday, will be placed in his Maryhill Castle in this county. He died at the age of 74 years. The funeral was held in Seattle.
     Sam Hill, noted good roads builder, was well known to older settlers of this county. Before building a museum at Maryhill, he visited a number of times in White Salmon and at one time figured on purchasing the Jewett property in White Salmon.
