THREE BOYS NOW AT CAMP COLUMBIA
Temporary Dormitory For Four More Boys
Camp Columbia, Washington's “Boys Town” has opened for business with the arrival
of the first of three boys. Following state-wide publicity, letters are being
received from all over the territory asking information and also applications
for admission to the Camp.
The first temporary dormitory was moved in last week
which will accommodate four more boys as soon as it is set on the foundations
and furnished. Bob Cline, Pete Portner and Shorty Martin handled the moving of
the building with equipment supplied by Willis Gross and Joe Crowe.
The Boys Town will be supported by public donations the
same as the Omaha project and a drive for a fifty thousand dollar building fund
will be started in the near future. The first permanent structure to be built
will be a Boys dormitory equipped with modern plumbing, heating and with an
adjoining dining hall.
It is planned to accept boys from all over the North
Pacific.
