TROUT LAKE GRADUATION HELD TUESDAY

Commencement exercises of the Trout Lake high school were held on the 27th with James E. Draper, Anthony E. Azure, Julia Merle Johnson, Eugene LeMar Murphy and Richard E. Carr as the graduating seniors.  Dr. Harry M. Crooks of Hood River gave the commencement address.  Valedictorian was Julia Johnston, and Salutatorian, Eugene Murphy.
            The eighth-grade graduating class -- Aaron Robert Brown, Jeanette Lois Davis, Dale Franklyn Farnsworth, Jacqueline Anette Frey, Thomas E. Glascoe, Lois Elaine Halse, David Lee Hollenbeck, Gladys May Landingham, Geraldine Della Locke, Marshall G. Portner, Charles Edward Rogers, Darla Ann Swartz.
            Lester Lewis presented the athletic awards, Ernest Fiedler the music awards, Donald Cole, the American Legion awards; Nondis Burkell, the Legion Auxiliary awards; Mrs. Bessie Schmid presented the diplomas to the graduates of both the high school and grade school.
