TROUT LAKE SCHOOL TEACHERS RESIGN

As Trout Lake students begin their final week of school, they are saying farewell to six of their teachers who are not renewing their contracts: Virginia Sakshaug 3^rd and 4^th grade teacher; J. Alden Bammes 5^th and 6^th grade; Austa Daverin 7th and 8th; Leora Bammes and George Wilson, high school teachers; and Superintendent Lyle Daverin.
Baccalaureate will be held at the T.L. Community church at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 6. Reverend Harold Borhauer will speak. Graduation exercises will be held at 8:15 p.m. Monday, June 7. The speakers will be the Reverend F. Phipps, pastor of St. Johns Presbyterian church, Camas; Janice Schmid, valedictorian; and Elinor Elmer, salutatorian.
The annual community school picnic will be held on Tuesday, June 8, the last day of school.

TROUT LAKE BACCALAUREATE SUNDAY; COMMENCEMENT MONDAY NIGHT, JUNE 7

Trout Lake high school will hold its Baccalaureate services at 3 p.m., Sunday, at June 6, in the high school with Reverend Harold Borhauer giving the main address.
            Commencement exercises will be at 8:15 p.m., Monday, June 7, in the high school auditorium. Speaking will be the popular Reverend F. Phipps of St. Johns Presbyterian church, Camas.
            Those graduating from high school are Janice Schmid, valedictorian, Elinor Elmer, salutatorian, Claudia Quackenbush, Theodore Brown, David Cole, Lewis Frey, Ronnie Hollenbeck and Dean Murphy.
            The eighth-grade graduating class is: Kathleen McCuistion, Rosalyn Pearson, Donita Rogers, Josette Davis, Joanne Marshall, Ralph Portner and Doyle Disney.

Valedictorian is Janice Schmid. Designated by years, her extracurricular activities included: Student Body secretary 4; class secretary 2-3; student Council 4; annual and school paper staff 1; volley ball 1-2; “Just Ducky” and “Miss Charm” 3; Girls’ League 1-2-3-4; and Girls’ League Sgt. at Arms, 4.
