The Commencement Exercises will be held on Thursday, May 26 in the school gym. Baccalaureate on Sunday.

COMMENCEMENT THIS EVENING

Baccalaureate was held at the Trout Lake school house at 3:00 o'clock on Sunday afternoon.
Reverend Borhauer gave the sermon which centered around Proverbs 1^st Chapter verses 1 to 10, “The Beginning of Knowledge”. Reverend Vanderploeg gave the invocation and Benediction. Ruth Ann Conklin and Gail Claridge sang a duet. Mrs. Lawrence McCuistion rendered the music. Commencement Exercises for Trout Lake graduates will be Thursday evening, Judge Quillan to give the address.

GRADUATION HELD THURS. OF LAST WEEK

Graduation was held in the Trout Lake school on Thursday evening. Awards were given the ones graduating from high school – Betty Portner, Marge Conklin, Susan Knutson and Elaine Johnson. The boys were Jack Raymond, Douglas and David Hilton, Frank Turner, Herbert Dieders, Jerry Coates and Richard Swartz. The eighth graders -- Dorothy Elmer, Jeannie Marshall, Margerite Stone, Enith Dieders, Mary Margaret Gilmer, Gail Claridge, Ruth Ann Conklin, and Jo Ann Portner. The boys -- Frank Childs, Danny Frey, Billy Hollenbeck and Kyle Johnson. The speaker of the evening was from Hood River.
