TWO SHARE VALEDICTORIAN RATING AT TROUT LAKE SCHOOL

Two girls from Trout Lake, Carol Hollenbeck and Rosalie Schmid, will share honors as co-valedictorians with 3.9 GPAs. Salutatorian Suann Schmid has a GPA of 3.5. All were raised at Trout Lake.
            Carol is the daughter of Mrs. Sydney Rippee of The Dalles and Ronald Hollenbeck of Trout Lake. She holds the school and league record in long jump and 50 yard dash. She has enrolled at CWSC, planning a major in business.
            Rosalie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Schmid and has served as an aide at Camp Easter Seal in the San Juan Islands. She will enter the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing.
            Suann has been an outstanding 4-H girl, with emphasis on dairying and sewing, and was a Huckleberry Festival princess. She plans to attend Powers’ Beauty Institute in Portland and take a fashion executive course. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schmid.
            All three girls have been involved in non-scholastic activities as well as receiving excellent grades.
