            The baccalaureate sermon will be Sunday, May 20th at the Mt. Adams Baptist Church at 3 p.m.  The Rev. Lewis M. Abbott will give the address, “The Future Fate or Faith”.  There will be special music.

KELLEY SHIDELER LINDA McNEEL SHARE HONORS

Kelley Shideler will be the Valedictorian and Linda McNeel will be the Salutatorian for the Trout Lake High School class of 1973 with commencement exercises to be held on Thursday evening, May 24, at 8 o'clock.
            Kelley Shideler has maintained a 3.84 G.P.A. during her high school career.
            She has been active in volleyball, Girls League, Pep Club, One-Act Plays, Annual Staff and has served as Treasurer for Girls League.  She has been named to the Society of Outstanding American High School Students.  During her school career she has received various awards in Typing, Shorthand, Book-keeping, and the Girls League Award for Student with the Best Attitude Toward Learning.
            Kelley plans to attend Olympic Community College at Bremerton to study data processing.
            Kelley is the daughter of Mrs. Honora G. Shideler of Trout Lake.
            Linda McNeel has maintained a 3.58 G.P.A. during her high school career.
            She has been active in cheerleading, volleyball, Pep Club, One-Act Plays, and has served as Treasurer of both Girls League and the Associated Student Body.  She has also served as class treasurer.
            During the current school year, she served as Vice-President of Girls League.  She has been named to the Society of Outstanding American High School Students.
            Linda will attend Clark College and is leaning toward a career in either Business or Home Economics.
            Linda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McNeel of Trout Lake.

Kelley Shideler is valedictorian at Trout Lake High School. TL STUDENTS CHOSEN MEMBERS OF NAT’L SOCIETY

Ken Domina, Principal of Trout Lake High School announced today the selection of the school’s students who have been chosen as members of The Society of Outstanding American High School Students, one of the nation’s leading high school honoraries.  The students are: Linda Mae McNeel, Kelley Brook Shideler, Nancy Joan Todd, Joyce Crystal McNeel, Rudy Nate Pearson.
            With the assistance of high school principals and counselors from across the nation, The Society of Outstanding American High School Students strives to further the pursuance of academic achievement and civic responsibility on the part of American youth.
            The Society accepts for membership only young men and women who have distinguished themselves as their school's highest achievers.
            Because of their accomplishments, these students are most deserving of recognition by the school, the community and the nation.  As leaders of American youth they represent the most important segment of our society.

TROUT LAKE HIGH GRADUATES 12 ON CEREMONIES LAST THURSDAY

At Trout Lake Thursday night, Michelle Harvey captured the scenes for The Enterprise.
            12 Seniors graduated last Thursday at Trout Lake.  They were: Carla Carroll, Laura Duke, Cheryl Locke, Linda McNeel - Salutatorian; Wannetta Schmid, Kelley Shideler, - Valedictorian; Nancy Todd, Karen Woodruff, Pam Yarnell, John Allen, Mike Etcher, Mark Schmid.

GIRLS’ LEAGUE BANQUET HELD AT TROUT LAKE GYM ON MAY 19TH

On Saturday, May 19, 1973 the annual Trout Lake Awards Banquet sponsored by the Girls League was held in the school gym.
            The speaker for the evening was Rick Kaps, Basketball Coach of Goldendale, who gave an interesting talk about sports and participants.  The speech was well received by the large crowd in attendance.
            Those receiving the various awards were as follows:
Betty Crocker Homemaker -- Kelly Shideler.
Most Improved Home Economics Student -- Larry Holtman.
Girl’s State Award -- Barbara Schmid.
Boy’s State Award -- Tom Beeks.
NEDT Awards -- Howard Buick and David Gibney.
The Society of Outstanding American High School Students -- Linda McNeel, Kelley Shideler, Nancy Todd, Joyce McNeel and Rudy Pearson.
Readers Digest Award for 1973, Valedictorian -- Kelly Shideler.

            A delicious dinner of roast beef, ham, baked potatoes, salad, vegetables, pie and ice cream was served by the eighth grade girls, having been prepared by Mrs. Darlene Hogate, Mrs. Honora Shideler and the Girls League.  The Girls League had decorated the tables with very attractive placemats and programs.  There were places set for 100 persons.
