MANY HONORED AT BANQUET

The Trout Lake High School awards banquet was held last week, and
many awards were given to Trout Lake high school students. Students who
maintained a 3.0-3.5 grade point average were Steve Lyons, Javier Sanchez, Cindy
Vance, John Vandenberg, Stephanie Stafford, Robin Wood, Terena Spring, and Dan
Webberly. Those students who maintained a 3.5-4.0 were: Spencer Van Pelt, Jesse
White, Rachel Allaway, Alice Nielsen, Senah Patterson, Angela Pearson, Kali
Morgan, Kristi Hansen, Cody Warner and Tammie Williams. English awards were to
Senah Patterson and Angela Pearson. Art awards were presented to Marco Lopez
and Tammie Williams. Science awards were presented to Angela Pearson, Tammie
Williams, Kristi Hansen and Jason Caryl. Odyssey of the Mind awards were
presented to Gabe Sherburne, Allison White, Steve Lyons, John Bennett and
Shannon Schulenberg. Math team awards were given to Jesse Pearson, Rachel
Allaway, Angela Pearson, Senah Patterson, Kristi Hansen, Steve Lyons, Jesse
Pearson and Spencer Van Pelt. Math awards were presented to Spencer Van Pelt,
Angela Pearson and Kali Morgan. Technology awards were given to Spencer Van
Pelt and Dan Webberly. The music award was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Alan
Bennett, Dusty Lopez, and Julie Girschfield. The teacher of the year award went
to Ken Belieu and the coach of the year went to Dennis Anderson. Booster Club
awards were presented to Robin Wood, Cody Warner, Kristi Hansen and Jesse
Pearson. Tammie Williams was presented with the Jump for Heart award. ASB
officer awards were given to Steve Lyons, Angela Pearson, Brent Walker, Kristi
Hansen, Kali Morgan, Tammie Williams and Cora Lee Warner.
In soccer, the hustle awards went to Jesse Pearson; offensive awards
went to Todd Jolley, and the defensive award went to Dan Webberly. In
volleyball, Kali Morgan and Robin Wood were presented with the captain's award;
most of improved went to Senah Patterson, and most inspirational went to Rachel
Allaway. In girls basketball, most improved went to Ann Beaty and the most
valuable went to Kristi Hansen. In boys’ basketball, the hustle award went to
Cody Warner; most improved to Dan Webberly; most valuable to Todd Jolley and the
coaches award went to Jesse Pearson. In junior varsity basketball, Robby Tipton
was presented with the MVP.
The 1992 cheerleaders were Julie Barclay and Shannon Shulenberg.
The 1993 cheerleaders were introduced and they are: Julie Girschfield, Lena
Johnson, Laura Bruce, Alice Nielsen, Cindy Vance and Shannon Caryl. In cross
country, excellence awards went to Kristi Hansen and Jesse Pearson. In track,
excellence awards were presented to Jesse Pearson and Angela Pearson. In
baseball, player of the week awards were presented to Brent Walker, Elaine
Rodriguez, Donovan Van Houten, Danny Webberly, Chris Schmid, John Bennett and
Steve Lyons. The offensive award went to Donovan Van Houten and the defensive
award went to Danny Webberly.
Congratulations to the class of 1992. Trout Lake’s class of 1992
include: Jason Caryl, Tanya Dean, Kristi Hansen, Cecilie Johnson, Joel Perez,
Elaine Rodriguez, Chris Schmid, Terena Spring, Cody Warner, Dan Webberly and
Tammie Williams. Kristi Hansen is the Valedictorian and Tammie Williams is the
Salutatorian for the class of 1992.
Tammie Williams received a presidential honors award, Washington
State University Glenn Terrill memorial award, the Regent’s scholarship at
Gonzaga, the Martin Grace grange awards and a four-year ROTC scholarship at
Gonzaga. Kristi Hansen received the Washington Honors award and the Washington
Principal’s Scholar’s program award. The greater scholarship from Rabanco was
presented to Kristi Hansen. The Soroptimists youth award went to Tammie
Williams. Kristi Hansen also received the Mid-Columbia family physician’s
scholarship. Cody Warner received the Elks vocational scholarship. The Wallace
and Grace grange scholarship were presented to Kristi Hansen, Tammie Williams,
and Cody Warner. The Frederick Blake memorial award was presented to Kristi
Hansen. National Honor Society awards were presented to Kristi Hansen, Cody
Warner and Tammie Williams.
