They have been in the sheep business for several years past and wintered 1500 head of grade Rambouillets and 1000 head of French Merinos. They have 13 big Rambouillet bucks, averaging over 200 pounds each, from California flocks. The Stegerman's have one of the largest and best sheep barns in the state of Washington. The size is 124x76; comp of roof 60 feet from the ground. It is very substantially built, and required in its construction 80,000 feet of framing timbers and 75,000 feet of dressed timber for walls and flooring, stalls, racks, etc., a total of 155,000 feet. Besides their farm of 840 acres, the Stegerman's own 3500 acres of grazing lands north of Alder Creek.
