Their son Owen Crafton Barnhill married Cora Strother who was a daughter of William Strother and Cora Smithson. There is a family story that Cora's name was Cora Smith, daughter of John and Mary Smith, fullblooded Creek Indians. Some related famiies are Adkison and Bundrick.
