CALDWELL--CALDWELL - Looking for a James CALDWELL, b. ABT 1740 in Ireland, he came to America in 1788, settled in Fairfield Co. SC, he later moved from Fairfield Co., SC after 1819 to Alabama. Some say he went to Forkland, Greene Co., Al and then moved on possibley to Franklyn Co. Al. Some of the old folks can remember some CALDWELLs from Birmingham visiting in the early part of the 1900s. CARPENTER--BRAXTON B. CARPENTER, b: ca. 1805, VA had to have parents, I just don't know who they are! Braxton m: SARAH (last name possibly Phillips, but not sure) in TN. He left VA ca. 1820 and went to Lincoln Co., TN. By 1850 he was in Limestone Co., AL, 1860 and 1870 in Blount Co., and in 1880 he was in Marion Co., where he probably died. Cooper--I am looking for the son of J.W Cooper and Nancy Baxter Cooper. John Henry Cooper....born 1862 in Escatawpa, Alabama , Washington County. John Henry had one sister. His Dad was killed on the M & O railroad. He married Anne S moved to La. Then on to California. He was a Physician. He last came back to Escatawpa to see that his parents would be kept clean.
