NICHOLS--I am researching the NICHOLS family. JOSHUA L. NICHOLS, b: 1792, Sumter Dist., SC and his brother ISAAC NICHOLS, b: 1790, Claremont, SC. Both moved to Bedford Co., TN and both were in Marion Co., AL by 1850. Noles, Head, Gunter--My Great Grandfather and his Father were living in Walker co. Ala. at the time they entered the civil war. they had not lived there all that long at the time. Joseph NOLES, b. 1811, w.- Cintha HEAD and two oldest sons William Elisha, b.1836 and John, b. 1842, left for service in the union army.
