USSERY, BENSON--Seeking any and all references to Philip Randolph USSERY, b 8-22-1827 in Walker County, Alabama. Family 375-375, Walker County Federal Census of 1850 and on. Brothers are William and Morgan. Philip Randolph Ussery's mother's maiden name is believed to be BENSON. P.R. Ussery migrated to Jackson County, Arkansas with some of his family around 1885. William Ussery's wife's name is Elizabeth. Believe that Philip Ussery, Morgan Ussery and William Ussery along with George Ussery are probably uncles and/or step-brothers. One Philip Ussery was killed by Jayhawkers in 1862 is the same Philip mentioned above. Indian intermarriage and multiple wives is part of the problem with this line. Philip Randolph Ussery is the *Randolf* found in that Walker county federal census, family 375-375 of 1850. Philip Randolph Ussery married one Nancy Jane Guice/Guise/Guyse around 1854. Any and all information appreciated. For more information, contact Robert Lynn Ussery at bobtam@ismi.net or at 9833 Bandi Lane, Fowlerville, Mi 48836-9623.
