KEATING/TALLEY--Seeking information on John Brown (Gordon??) KEATING, born about 1884-1887 of Montgomery, AL. He was not necessarily born in Montgomery but did live there in early 1900's. He married Carrie Bell TALLEY, born 1886 in Grady, Alabama (daughter of Mac Justic TALLEY and Mary Indiana Wadworth). They had 2 children, Jesse Marion KEATING, born 1908 and Woodrow Talley KEATING, born 1912. John and Carrie divorced sometime between 1914 and 1920. It is believed that John KEATING was a sheriff or deputy sheriff in Montgomery or the surrounding county in the early 1900's. Andrew J. KELLEY age 45 was listed in the 1870 Census of Union Co. Arkansas with his wife Susan A. ____age 40, three sons James age 17, Franklin age 15, and John age 13. Husband and wife state they were born in Alabama. The boys were born in Arkansas. Family tradition state Andrew J. (Jackson?) KILPATRICK John b. 1809 SC, wife name Linney. John was liated as John KIRKPATRICK in the 1840 Benton Co. census and in late 1850s moved to Winston Co. Houston PO area Had son William and wife Hannah along with dau Elizabeth in house in the 1860 census. His older son Perry KILPATRICK was living next door. No record of Perry or the remainder of Johns family after 1860 except William and Hannah William was a member of the 1st AL Cav USA and died in Nashville 1864. KING - Looking for information on Adam A. KING who lived in Tallapoosa Co., then Coosa Co. between 1860's and 1870's. His parents, Thomas and Priscilla ?? KING moved to AL by 1862 when Adam's sister Josie was born. Thomas and Priscilla's children were: 1. Henrietta b. 1841 2. Adam b. June 28, 1843 3. Virgil b. 1844 4. Margaret b. 1849 5. Robert D. b. 1851 6. Josie b. 1862. That same year Adam and his younger brother Virgil enlisted in the 47th Alabama Infantry. Virgil was wounded at Sharpsburg and Adam was captured while caring for his wounded brother. Virgil died of his wounds and Adam was paroled at the end of the war.
