REACH: William Lafayette Reach b. 1876 in Bibbs Co. Alabama. He is my great grandfather and I know little abouut him. When he died, etc. I do not even know who he married or who his children were, except, my grandfather. His father was Andrew Jackson Reach b. 1840. I do not know who he married either. I believe Andrew's father was James Crawford Reach married to Salina Looney. They were married in REACH cemetery #2 at Lowery. Any info, about my REACH or LOONEY line would be appreciated. Redbird, Hamby, Bailey--I'm looking for any information on eliza jane Redbird. Redbird is supposedly my ggreat grandmother. She was approximately 14 years old in either 1896 or 1902. This is when she was entered on the Dawes rolls 21219 file number 9294. I believe she was 14 in 1896. Because my great grandmother was born in Alabama on 10/09/1900. I dont know where in Alabama. Her name was lela lacy Bailey. Bailey's death certificate states her mother was a jane Hamby. jane Hamby's husband was albert price Bailey. Both of the Bailey's are died in Texas. Both of his parents were from SC, and I have wondered if his father is Jacob RIALS. Edmund married Elizabeth Jennie GRANTHAM ca.1850 in Pike County, and they had at least 5 children as they moved to LA ca. 1860, where he enlisted in the army and died in 1863. John W. RICKS married in 1849 the widow of Elijah Sellers, Nancy Barnes, in Dalas County, Ala. Nancy and Elijah had several children, and with John she had twins, Jesse and Mary Ricks and others. John and Nancy moved to Choctaw Co., Miss., and John entered the Civil War in Miss. He died while a prisoner of war.
