FARLEY--Searching for information on William J. FARLEY 1871-1943 who was married to Mary J. RIVERS 1873-1957. They are buried at the Curry Cemetery in Walker County Alabama. FIELDING--I am researching the family name FIELDING. According to the 1850 Butler Co. Al. census a Melinda Fielding was listed. FIELDS--Searching for info on FIELDS, Wiley H. born 1804 in NC. The 1809 state census indicated he was living in in Bibb County, AL. Federal Census indicated that he married and raised his family in Bibb. I believe that the FIELDS of Bibb, Madison, Colbert and Lauderdale are descendants of Wiley H. FIELDS. FINLEY and LAIRD--Looking for information on my great great grandparents. They were Elisha and Nancy FINLEY. Their daughter, Elizabeth FINLEY, married James LAIRD in 1857 somewhere in Alabama. I have found a Homestead Certificate for Elisha FINLEY in Coffee Co., AL on April 9, 1878. I have also found another land purchase in Geneva Co. on September 1, 1860. James and Elizabeth LAIRD are found on the 1860 census for Geneva Co. By 1880 they have moved and are found on that census for Walton Co., Florida. FRAZIER -- I'm searching from my great grandfather Samuel Layfette FRAZIER who was born "somewhere in Alabama" according to his death certificate on February 3, 1851/7 (the ink is faded on last digit of year). His wife was Mary POUNCEY FRAZIER. Parents names aren't known but are listed as born "somewhere in Alabama" on Sam's death certificate. 1850 Fed Census for Bibb County lists a Samuel FRAZER, age 40, Wife Martha, age 31. Children Lafayett 15, Henry 13, David 9, Mary 5, Samuel 3, Martha 11 Months. All children born Alabama. 1850 Fed Census lists same info excepts spells the surname FRAZIER (rather than Frazer) with Samuel 31, Martha 23, Lafayette, 5, Henry 3. Sam Frazier, that is Sam L. Frazier, was living in Milam County, Texas by 1878/79 until his death in 1920. Don't know if the Samuel Frazer/Frazier in Bibb County on 1850 and 1860 Fed Census with son named Samuel and son named Lafayette is related or not; however, the Sam I am seeking was named Samuel Lafayette FRAZIER and there is much similarity.
