LANG, GOINGS, CUMMINS--I am interested in John LANG married 15 March 1826 in Tuscoloosa County, Ala., to Rebecca Lockert GOINGS. In the Family History Library there is information that states that this John LANG is the brother of William LANG from Pickensville, Pickens County, ALA. William Lang came from Pitt and Gates county in North Carolina. His brother David came with him. The LANG's in North Carolina have heard it passed through the family that there was another brother, John who died early. David went to South America and the youngest brother,Robert Josph stayed in North Carolina. The 1850 Census of Tuscoloosa County ALA. showed 2 children Johnathan R. LANG born 1827 and Sarah A. LANG born 1832 who later married 6 Sept. 1852 in Tuscoloosa Cty to Robert Cummins. I can't find anymore information anywhere on these people. Help! LANG, MASSEY--My grandmother, Docia LANG, was born in Hillsboro, Alabama on October 15, 1878. She married my grandfather, Robert MASSEY, and they lived in Oklahoma most of their married lives. LANIER-- Eli and Emma White Lanier of Tuskegee, Alabama were my great great grandparents. I am looking for any and all of their descendants. A Census report listed their marriage as 1856. It said that they had at least 7 children, three of which were (1) Lorenzo, (2) Johnnie, and (3) Willie. When the children began to move north, they started misspelling their last name. LANSFORD, HUTSON---Harrington Gilmore Lansford Married Georgia Ann Hutson on December 23, 1977 in Chambers county,AL. They had 2 boys and 3 girls. Cannot find any death records on either Georgia or Harrington. Georgia Ann died in Chambers County date unknown. Harrington died between the census done in June 1900(for Cooper, Chilton County, AL - both his younger daughters were with him) and March 29, 1901 when his daughter Leola Driver died, supposedly in childbirth ( husband - William Anderson Driver). At that time his other 2 younger daughters were staying with Leola, because their daddy had died. The obit shows 1 infant and the 2 sisters surviving. I have no information on the infant. I have information on the Joseph Lumpkin Lansford, Maude Lansford and Lily Mae Lansford, and most of their families. I cannot account for the birth or death of John Henry Lansford who, according to sketchy info and 2 granddaughters of Harrington's, died as a child. LEDBETTER, FORREST--Mary LEDBETTER, born about 1834 in TN, was the daughter of Martin S. and Eliza MCKINLEY LEDBETTER. They died in 1847 and Mary went to live with her aunt and uncle, Elisha Green and Edney Ledbetter FORREST. In the 1850 Tuscaloosa, Alabama census, in the Elisha Green FORREST household, there are: E.G. age 32 b TN, Edney age 32 SC, Margaret N.J. age 7 b TN, William A. age 2 b AL, Mary Ledbetter age 16 b TN, Nancy Forrest age 69 b NC, Cornelius age 65 b NC, Jackson Garrett age 23 b TN, and George Jackson age 26 b TN. Does anyone have guardianship records for Mary to E.G. Forrest? Mary had siblings, James B. b 1829, Jesse M. b 1838, William H. b 1842, and Martin S. b 1846. Elijah andElnora had 8 children. Their son Lijah Mathanael (Pete) b 1870 married Lou Ada Delilah GRIMES 1897 in Coffee Co. Lou Ada b Oct.15, 1881 to Robert GRIMES and Amanda HENDRICKS.Pete d May 1944 and is buried Asbury Methodist Church, Coffee Co. Lou Ada d April 14, 1956 and is also buried at Asbury. They had 12 children. The oldest son is my husband's father. Roscoe Lee LOLLEY b Oct. 16, 1900 in Victoria and d March 5, 1988 in McDowell Co. NC. He married 1st Eva HARRISON; they had 1 child Juanita b 1923. Eva d 1923 following childbirth. Roscoe married Mary Sarah NUNNELEE Nov. 29, 1929. LONG --I am searching for information on James Thomas LONG who married Cornelia J. Kirby in 1878 in Jackson county Alabama. They had 4 children who lived to adulthood. They were John Henry, Amanda, Hattie, and Hollie. James Thomas' parents were Harrison and Emily Long, and Cornelia's parents were Samuel and Margreat Kirby. My father was John Henry and he went to live in Morris county Texas at the age of 5 when his mother died. LOVELL--Anderson LOVELL married to Elsie LITRELL. Unknown dob's or dod's. Only known children are (1) Samuel Columbus LOVELL (1846-1920) married Mary Angeline MEDLOCK (1858-1933). They had six children. (2) Andrew Jackson LOVELL (1850-1927) married Nancy Elizabeth (Betty) MEDLOCK (1862-1924). They had fifteen children.
