| Cemetery: d. 2-2-1858 age 41y, 15d -0r- d. 2-24-1859 age 41y 15d Copy of Will on file at Williams County, Ohio, Records Center: I, William Sumner of Bridgewater Township, Williams Co. and State of Ohio, Farmer, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made, and FIRST I give and bequeath my soul to God and my body to be interd in the earth, and as to such worley estate, as it has pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Sumner one third part of what is cald the William Sumner farm her natural life hereinafter described, I give and bequeath to my oldest son, Alonzo Sumner, and Lucian Sumner, my second son, two-thirds of what is cald the William Sumner farm here in after described they are to share and share alike and I give and bequeath to my fore said wife one third part of my personal property. I give and bequeath to my oldest son Alonzo and Second my second son two-thirds of all my personal property to share and share alike the personal estate thus bequeathed to my four said wife and sons one third each after taking thare from enough to pay all the debts and the real estate thus bequeathed to my foresaid wife and sons. It being the North half of the West half of the southeast quarter of section fourteen and the middle part of the east half of the South west quarter section foreteen Township of range nine south of three west. It being in all eighty acres mor or less according to government survey. And the share of my real and personal estate thus bequeathed to my wife is to be in lew of her dower at common law and while my wife remains a widow I want all the property to remain to gether for the good of the family and if my fore said wife does not remain my widow then her third part of the real and personal estate must be set of to my four said wife and after my four said wifes discease then the real estate bequeathed to her is to go to Alonzo and Lucian Sumner my sons. This is my last will and testament in witness whare of I William Sumner the testator have to this my will writen on this one sheet of paper set my hand and seale this seventh day of March A.D., one thousand eight hundred and fifty seven.
