I am thinking we have two different Williams from different families. Richard Cheek b.abt. 1695 in VA; d. btw. 9-29-1743 & 4-21-1745; married abt. 1720 to Jane Randolph. They had 9 children, Elizabeth 1721, William 1723, Richard 1725, Jane 1727, John 1729, Robert 1731, James 1733, Ann 1735, Randolph 1737. William b.1723 Essex Co. VA; d. abt. 1800 Warren Co. NC; married sarah "Sally" Blake 1745. Their children were; Mary 1750, William 1754, Martha 1758, Phebe 1760, John 1767, Silas 1768, Randolph 1769, Robert 1777. Randolph came to Mo abt 1815. His oldest son James H was born 1813 in KY. The 1830 & 1840 census records I mentioned were in Cape Girardeau, Co. MO, also the 1850 census. Bollinger Co. was not formed until 1852. On the 1840 census Randolph was 50 to 60; Sarah was 40 to 50 1850 census he was 69; Sarah was 60 1860 " " " 84; " " 66 1870 " " " 96; " " 84 I have not found her on the 1880 census.
