Dear and
beloved wife Nancy – all
his books, household furniture as her full & absolute property to be
managed and disposed of as she may think proper: also all the stock of cattle,
horses, sheep and farming utensils, provided that if any of his unmarried
children should be married or remain unmarried and should request it, she shall
give them each one cow & a calf.
Also to wife,
the farm on which he now resides, being that part of William Lynes's survey as
assignee of Henry Lyne which lies westerly of the farm now occupied by Richard
Woolfolk, except 20 acres laid off for a mill seat on Harrods Creek. She to hold the farm during her life. Also
to my wife, all the Negroes not herein bequeathed to the children, for her
natural life
To son and
daughter: James M. Woolfolk & Sophia Woolfolk - each a horse

Woolfolk 1/2 of the tract of land,
the other 1/2 of which constitutes the farm above given to son William, usually

extent herein given wife Nancy for her life, to have the farm after the

provided that said son is not to charge the estate for any work done by him on
the building on said farm.

unfortunate children George Woolfolk & Fanny Woolfolk to the
affectionate care of his wife should these children survive their mother - then
daughter Mary B. Kendall to be given extra (all items & property named in
this will) items to care for them.
