George Woolfolk and Sue Pearson Woolfolk on land given to them by Sue Pearson's
father, William Pearson. The land was part of the 2000 acre farm William Pearson
purchased c. 1865. John and Sue's son William Broadus
Woolfolk, my grandfather, later inherited the house and farm and with his wife
Laura Laws Woolfolk raised his own family..
William and Laura's youngest son, William Ward Woolfolk was my father. Their daughter
Gladys (Sissy) and son James (Pete) Woolfolk lived in the house until their deaths in 1987
and 1976 respectively. The house is now owned by my brother, Gary Woolfolk. To us,
this house will always be called the Homeplace. Hello....My Name is Robert L Woolfolk and I live in Murfreesboro, TN. I
enjoy genealogy, woodworking, and researching the War Between the States. You will
find some genealogical information about me and the Woolfolk family tree and my
other ancestors by following the links on the left side of this page. Other names I
research include Lanier, Donnell, Waynick, Pearson, Goodrich, Laws, Arington, Crawford,
Waller, Chewning and many more. Most of my ancestors lived in VA, NC, and SC in the 1700's
and 1800's and in TN in the 1800's and 1900's. If you have any corrections or additions to
