     Nanny Belle Yelton was born on 29 December 1884 in Benton City, Audrain County, Missouri, shortly after her father's death. Both the Donald Yelton Correspondence and the 1900 Census state that Nanny was born in Dec, 1885. However, the census also states that she was 15 years old. If the Dec 1885 birthdate is correct, then she would have been 14, not 15, when the census was taken in June, 1900. Given that her father died in 1884, and pending additional research, I believe 1884 is somewhat more likely.1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Thomas Yelton and Missouri Frances Smith.1 Nannie B. Yelton, age 15 was listed as a daughter of Misoura F. Yelton, age 49 in the 1900 Census ofAudrain County, Missouri.2

Nanny Belle Yelton married John Wesley Keith on 5 April 1903.3

Nanny Belle Yelton died in 1971.1 She was buried Wellsville, Missouri.1
