Elisabeth Yelton, age 11 was living in the household of Charley Yelton, age 36, in the 1860 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.¹ Elisabeth Yelton died on 26 August 1864 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, I'm assuming this is the correct Elizabeth, as she is buried next to her parents. However, the tombstone gives only the date of death, so I can't be sure.² She was buried at Cedar Grove Methodist Church, Rutherford County, North Carolina.²

     Mary Jane Yelton was born on 30 July 1852 in North Carolina.^1,3,2 She was the daughter of Charles Yelton and Letty Lane.^1,2 Mary Yelton, age 7 was living in the household of Charley Yelton, age 36, in the 1860 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.³

Mary Jane Yelton married William Thomas Robertson in 1867.⁴ Mary Jane Yelton died on 27 April 1920 in Rutherford County, North Carolina.^1,2 She was buried at Cedar Grove Methodist Church, Rutherford County, North Carolina, on 28 April 1920.^1,2

Eskridge, age 56 in the 1920 Census of Cleveland County, North Carolina.⁷ Isabell Eskridge, age 57 was listed as the wife of J. Lee Eskridge, age 66 in the 1930 Census of Cleveland County, North Carolina.⁸ Isabella W. Yelton died on 19 December 1959 in Cleveland County, North Carolina.³ She was buried in Double Shoals Cemetery, Cleveland County, North Carolina.³

     Benjamin Franklin Yelton was born circa 1875 probably in Rutherford County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of John Washington Yelton and Eliza Nancy McCurry.^1,2 Benjamin A. Yelton, age 5 was listed as a son of John W. Yelton, age 33, in the 1880 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.¹ In 1900 Benjamin Franklin Yelton was a slubber in a cotton mill.³ Ben Yelton, age 26 appears in the 1900 Census of Cleveland County, North Carolina in the household of John Harrelson, the operator of a boarding house and himself an employee at the cotton mill..⁴

Benjamin Franklin Yelton married Hessie Holden.² In 1918 Benjamin Franklin Yelton was a salesman for the United Cigar Company.⁵ In 1918 Ben Yelton and Hessie (Holden) Yelton lived at 711 York Street, Richmond, Virginia.⁵ Benjamin registered for the World War I draft on 12 September 1918 in Richmond, Virginia. He named Hessie Yelton as his nearest relative.⁵ In 1920 Frank Yelton was a floorwalker for a dry goods store.⁶ He was listed as the head of a household in the 1920 Census of Richmond, Henrico, Virginia. The family included his wife, Hessie L. Yelton, age 35.⁶ Benjamin Franklin Yelton died before 1930.⁷

     Elizabeth Waters was the daughter of William & Elizabeth Waters.¹ She was born circa 1856 in North Carolina.²

Elizabeth Waters married Leonard Yelton, son of Leonard Yelton and Rebecca Fortune, on 9 May 1872 at J. W. Murray's, Rutherford County, North Carolina.¹ Elizabeth Waters died between 1887 and 1892 Her youngest known child was born in 1887, and her husband remarried about 1893.³

Pheba A. Jarrett married Jacob Shepherd circa 1896. Pending further research, I can't be certain that this identification is correct. However, Jacob Shepherd was the informant listed on the death certificates of both Eli and Laura Jarrett, and Jacob and Pheba are living next to Eli and Laura in the 1920 Census.^2,1

     William D. Jarrett was born circa 1878 in Mitchell County, North Carolina. He was the son of Eli Jarrett and Catharine Yelton.

     William E. Trivett was born circa 1868 in Watauga County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of John Trivett and Mary Yelton.^1,2
