Cherry was born on 10 January 1840 Adams County, Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of Aaron Benjamin Cherry and Margaret Yelton.¹ She probably died between 1847 and 1850, as she does not appear with her family in the 1850 Census. Susan W. Easton gives a death date of 21 May1865, but this does not explain her absence from the family in the census, nor the lack of LDS baptism and endowment during her lifetime.^3,2
