     Otto A. Yelton Jr. was born on 25 March 1929 in Jefferson County, Texas.1 He was the son of Otto Arthur Yelton and Lily Margaret LeBlanc.1 Otto A. Yelton, Jr., age 1 was listed as a grandson of William A. Yelton, age 57 in the 1930 Census of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.2 While serving in Korea in 1953, Otto Yelton found a Texas A & M 1945 class ring near the bodies of two dead North Korean soldiers. The ring was engraved "J. N. Parks." Otto, assuming Parks was dead, took the ring to return it to his family. A fellow Aggie was able to trace Parks, and discovered that not only was he still alive, he had never been in Korea. The ring had been stolen from his car while he was fishing near San Antonio on 3 Sept 1952.3 At the time of his death, Otto A. Yelton Jr. resided at in Houston, Texas.4

Otto A. Yelton Jr. died on 5 September 2000.4
