Yelton was born on 12 February 1854 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.^1,2 She was the daughter of Benjamin Yelton and Sarah Fryer.^1,2 Mary Yelton, age 6 was living in the household of Benj. Yelton, age 48, in the 1860 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.³ Mary Yelton, age 16 was living in the household of Benj. Yelton, age 58, in the 1870 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁴ Mary A. Yelton, age 24 was listed as a daughter of Benj Yelton, age 68, in the 1880 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁵

Mary A. Yelton died on 14 October 1882.

     Squire Thomas Gibbons was the son of Edmond M. Gibbons and Evaline Dillon.¹ He was born on 8 April 1849 in Algood, Putnam County, Tennessee.¹

Squire Thomas Gibbons married Bethiah Gillom Yelton, daughter of Wilburn S. Yelton and Jemima Wilmoth, on 13 October 1870 in Tennessee.¹

Irene Petway (Gibbons) Tanner died on 20 April 1976 in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee.⁷ She was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cumberland County, Tennessee.⁴

     Mary Alba Gibbons was born on 10 September 1882 in Algood, Putnam County, Tennessee.¹ She was the daughter of Squire Thomas Gibbons and Bethiah Gillom Yelton.¹

     Wilborn Edmond Gibbons was born on 2 May 1877 in Tennessee Gene Pool says born in Putnam County, TN, but I don't think that's right.² He was the son of Squire Thomas Gibbons and Bethiah Gillom Yelton.¹

Wilborn Edmond Gibbons married Chloe Agnes Peek on 10 February 1910.²

     Minnie Myrtle Gibbons was born on 3 July 1887 in Overton County, Tennessee.^1,2 She was the daughter of Squire Thomas Gibbons and Bethiah Gillom Yelton.¹

     Joseph Bruce Jones was born on 30 July 1853 Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri.¹ He was the son of George Washington Jones and Callista Yelton.¹

     John Monroe Yelton was born on 28 February 1862 in North Carolina.^4,5,1 He was the son of Susanna Yelton.^1,2,3 John M. Yelton, age 9 was living in the household of Jack Yelton, age 58, in the 1870 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.⁶ John M. Yelton, age 18, was listed as a grandson of Jacob Yelton, age 68, in the 1880 Census of Golden Valley, Rutherford County, North Carolina.⁷

Yelton and Mary Ellen Ford.¹ William Riley Yelton is probably included in the household of Barnet Yelton in the 1840 Census of Ashe County, North Carolina.¹ William Yelton, age 16 was living in the household of John P. Yelton, age 27, in the 1850 Census of Overton County, Tennessee.⁵

The family included his wife, Nancy Yelton, age unreadable, his sons, John Yelton, age 15, Erastus Yelton, age 14, Burr Yelton, age 8 and Stonewall Yelton, age 6, his daughters, Viola Yelton, age 21 and Leona Yelton, age 11.⁹

William R. Yelton, age 67 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1900 Census of Liberty Township, Phelps County, Missouri. Other family members included his wife, Nancy J. Yelton, age 65, his son, Robert Yelton, age 24, his grandson, Robert Dunhem, age 28, Frederik Dunhem, age 23 and Evart Dunham, age 20, his granddaughter, Clara Dunhem, age 24, Minna Dunhem, age 9 and Viola Dunhem, age 6. Nancy has borne 9 children, 8 of whom are living. The household also includes Cora Lane, b. Nov 1880 in MO (parents both born Illinois) identified as "adopted."¹⁰ William survived the death of his wife, Nancy Jane Johnson on 1 August 1907.^2,11

William Riley Yelton died on 4 December 1908 Phelps County, Missouri.^2,11 He was buried Mill Creek Cemetery, Phelps County, Missouri.²

     Susan A. Yelton was born circa 1836 in North Carolina.² She was the daughter of Barnett C. Yelton and Mary Ellen Ford.¹ Susan A. Yelton is probably included in the household of Barnet Yelton in the 1840 Census of Ashe County, North Carolina.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Graham was born on 16 August 1849 in Tennessee.^1,2

Rankin, age 42 in the 1910 Census of Berkeley, Alameda County, California.⁴ May Rankin, age 40 was listed as the wife of Seamore L. Rankin, age 50 in the 1920 Census of Arnett, Ellis County, Oklahoma.⁵ Alamae Rankin, age 49 was listed as the wife of Seymour L. Rankin, age 61 in the 1930 Census of Arnett, Ellis County, Oklahoma.⁶

     Decia Poston died in September 1879 in Overton County, Tennessee. She was survived by her husband, Robert Poole Yelton.²
