     I haven't found Ira in the 1840 Census. There are two Ira Allen households in the 1840 Census for Indiana, but neither of them matches what I know about this family. For example, neither of them reflects the significant age difference between Ira and Nancy, and neither shows the right number of children, even if I assume that Alfred was not born until after the 1840 Census. He was born circa 1794 in North Carolina.^1,2

Ira Allen married Nancy Yelton, daughter of Robert J. Yelton , Sr. and Elizabeth Kersey, on 9 August 1831 in Shelby County, Indiana.³

Ira Allen, age 56, was listed as the head of a household in the 1850 Census of Marshall County, Indiana. Also living in the household were Nancy Allen, age 36, Wm Allen, age 17, Mary J. Allen, age 16, Selah F. Allen, age 13, Alfred Allen, age 11, Martha A. Allen, age 9, Nancy L. Allen, age 7, Henry H. Allen, age 5, James Allen, age 2 and Samuel Allen, age 2 months. Ira reported owning real estate worth $1500.¹

Ira Allen, age 66 was recorded as the head of a household in the 1860 Census of Marshall County, Indiana. Also living in the household were Alfred Allen, age 21, Martha Allen, age 19, Nancy Lemister, age 17, Henry Allen, age 15, James Allen, age 13, Samuel Allen, age 11, Ira Allen, age 8 and John Lemaster, age 22. Ira reported owning real estate worth $4000 and personal property worth $100.⁴

Also living in the household were James Allen, age 22, Samuel Allen, age 20, Ira Allen, age 18, Levitha Allen, age 23 and Estella Allen, age 1. Ira reported owning real estate worth $9000 and personal property worth $250.⁵

Ira Allen died on 4 October 1870.² He was buried at Argos Town Cemetery, Argos, Marshall County, Indiana. His tombstone states that he was 76 years old at his death.²

     Garrett Harsin was born on 4 September 1808 in Kentucky.^1,2

Garrett Harsin married Sarah Yelton, daughter of Robert J. Yelton , Sr. and Elizabeth Kersey, on 2 December 1830 in Shelby County, Indiana.³

Garrett Harsin, age 42, was listed as the head of a household in the 1850 Census of Carroll County, Kentucky. Also living in the household were Harriett Harsin, age 18, George Harsin, age 16, Prudence Harsin, age 14, William Harsin, age 12, Sarah E. Harsin, age 10, Margaret Harsin, age 8, John W. Harsin, age 5 and Linton Harsin, age 3.²

Garrett Harsin, age 51 was recorded as the head of a household in the 1860 Census of Carroll County, Kentucky. Also living in the household were Elizabeth Harsin, age 20, Margaret Harsin, age 17 and John W. Harsin, age 15.⁴

Garrett Harsin died circa 1875 in Carroll County, Kentucky.¹

     Palmer Yelton was born on 10 April 1870 in Kentucky.^3,4,2 He was the son of James Madison Yelton and Georgetta Records.^1,2 Palmer L. Yelton, age 2 months was living in the household of James M. Yelton, age 28, in the 1870 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.⁵ Palmer Yelton, age 10 was listed as a son of James Yelton, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.⁶

Palmer Yelton married Fannie Clark on 15 November 1893 in Audrain County, Missouri.^7,8

Pamer E. Yelton, age 30 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1900 Census of Audrain County, Missouri. Other family members included his wife, Fannie R. Yelton, age 30, his sons, Calvin E. Yelton, age 3 and James R. Yelton, age 1, his daughter, Dorothy L. Yelton, age 5. Fannie has borne 3 children, all of whom are living.⁴ At the time of his death, Palmer Yelton resided at Aullville, Missouri.⁹

Palmer Yelton died on 20 May 1921 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.^9,2 He was buried at Odessa, Missouri, on 21 May 1921.²

     Emma Yelton was born on 8 October 1871 in Kentucky.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Madison Yelton and Georgetta Records.^1,2 Emma Yelton, age 9 was listed as a daughter of James Yelton, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.³

Emma Yelton died on 30 November 1893.² She was buried in Unity Cemetery, Audrain County, Missouri.²

     Lucy Yelton was born in April 1873 in Kentucky.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Madison Yelton and Georgetta Records.¹ Lucy Yelton, age 7 was listed as a daughter of James Yelton, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.³ Lucy A. Yelton, age 27 was listed as a daughter of James M. Yelton, age 57 in the 1900 Census ofMontgomery County, Missouri.²

     Wilena Yelton was born in July 1875 in Kentucky.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Madison Yelton and Georgetta Records.¹ Wilena Yelton, age 4 was listed as a daughter of James Yelton, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.³ Willie A. Yelton, age 24 was listed as a daughter of James M. Yelton, age 57 in the 1900 Census ofMontgomery County, Missouri.²

Wilena Yelton married David Haislip on 20 April 1902 in Audrain County, Missouri.⁴

     Annie Yelton was born on 25 December 1876 in Kentucky.^1,3,4 She was the daughter of James Madison Yelton and Georgetta Records.^1,2 Annie Yelton, age 3 was listed as a daughter of James Yelton, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.⁵ Annie M. Yelton, age 23 was listed as a daughter of James M. Yelton, age 57 in the 1900 Census ofMontgomery County, Missouri.⁴

Annie Yelton died on 28 January 1903.² She was buried in Unity Cemetery, Audrain County, Missouri.³

     Luther Yelton was born in March 1877 in Kentucky.^1,2 He was the son of James Madison Yelton and Georgetta Records.¹ Luther Yelton, age 2 was listed as a son of James Yelton, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.³ John L. Yelton, age 23 was listed as a son of James M. Yelton, age 57 in the 1900 Census ofMontgomery County, Missouri.²

Luther Yelton, age 30 was listed as the head of a household in the 1910 Census of Callaway County, Missouri. There was no one else living in the household.⁴ Luther registered for the World War I draft on 12 September 1918 in Lafayette County, Missouri. He listed P. E. Yelton as both his employer and his closest relative. Despite the birthdate he gave (1 Mar 1884), I believe this must be the brother of Palmer Yelton.⁵ In 1918 Luther Yelton lived at Odessa, Lafayette County, Missouri.⁵

     Zeno Yelton was born in May 1878 in Kentucky.^1,2 He was the son of James Madison Yelton and Georgetta Records.¹ Zeno Yelton, age 1 was listed as a son of James Yelton, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky.³ Zeno R. Yelton, age 22 was listed as a son of James M. Yelton, age 57 in the 1900 Census ofMontgomery County, Missouri.²

Zeno Yelton married Ida (?).⁴

     Stephen Bonar was born circa 1826 in Kentucky.¹

Stephen Bonar married Mary Jane Dean, daughter of Timothy Dean and Nancy Crawford.²

Stephen Bonar, age 33 was listed as the head of a household in the 1860 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky. Also living in the household were Mary J. Bonar, age 27 and George W. Bonar, age 2. Stephen reported owning no real estate, but had personal property worth $200.³

Stephen Boner, age 44 was listed as the head of a household in the 1870 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky. Also living in the household were Mary J. Boner, age 38 and George W. Boner, age 13. Stephen reported owning no real estate, but had personal property worth $250.⁴

Stephen Bonar, age 54 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1880 Census of Campbell County, Kentucky. The family included his wife, Mary Bonar, age 47, his mother-in-law, Nancy Yelton, age 65, his nephew, Edward Yelton, age 15.²

     James Frank Long was born on 4 September 1871 in North Carolina.^3,4 He was the son of Thomas F. Long and Susanna Yelton.^1,2 James F. Long, age 8 was listed as a son of Thomas F. Long, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.⁴

James Frank Long died on 28 July 1905.³ He was buried at Cedar Grove Methodist Church, Rutherford County, North Carolina.³

     Mary S. Long was born on 18 August 1874 in North Carolina.^2,3 She was the daughter of Thomas F. Long and Susanna Yelton.¹ Mary S. Long, age 5 was listed as a daughter of Thomas F. Long, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.³

Mary S. Long died on 26 January 1952.² She was buried at Golden Valley Methodist Church, Rutherford County, North Carolina.²

     Martha Huldah Long was born on 24 September 1876 in North Carolina.^2,3,4 She was the daughter of Thomas F. Long and Susanna Yelton.¹ Martha H. Long, age 3 was listed as a daughter of Thomas F. Long, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.³ Martha H. Long, age 23 was listed as a daughter of Thomas F. Long, age 56 in the 1900 Census ofRutherford County, North Carolina.⁴

Martha Huldah Long died on 25 June 1905.² She was buried at Cedar Grove Methodist Church, Rutherford County, North Carolina.²

     William J. Long was born in October 1878 in North Carolina.² He was the son of Thomas F. Long and Susanna Yelton.¹ William J. Long, age 1 was listed as a son of Thomas F. Long, age 36, in the 1880 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.³

William J. Long died on 6 February 1904.⁴ He was buried at Golden Valley Methodist Church, Rutherford County, North Carolina.⁴

     Lillie Guinn was born in November 1870 in Tennessee the daughter of Lithy A. Guinn.¹

Lillie Guinn married Walter Burton Yelton, son of Charles Louis Yelton and Margaret L. Copeland, on 3 January 1899 in Humphreys County, Tennessee.² Lillie E. Yelton, age 29 appears in the 1900 Census of Humphreys County, Tennessee in the household of her mother, Lithy A. Guinn.¹ She and Walter Burton Yelton were divorced before 1910.³ Lillie Guinn, age 38 appears in the 1910 Census of Humphreys County, Tennessee in the household of her mother, Lissa A. Guinn.³

     Sybil Jacqueline Yelton is the daughter of Earl Yelton and Ruth Grace Puckett.^1,2 Sybil Jacqueline Yelton married Ralph William Dixon.¹

     Ralph William Dixon married Sybil Jacqueline Yelton.¹

     Ralph Dixon Jr. is the son of Ralph William Dixon and Sybil Jacqueline Yelton.¹
