     William Absalom Jackson was born on 3 December 1894 in Hollis, North Carolina.3,4,5 He was the son of William Jackson and Lydia Elizabeth Price.1,2 Absalom Jackson, age 6 was listed as a son of William A. Jackson, age 43 in the 1900 Census ofCleveland County, North Carolina.4 Absalum Jackson, age 16 was listed as a son of William Jackson, age 52 in the 1910 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina.3

William Absalom Jackson married Zenna Bridges on 28 May 1913 at the home of the bride's parents, Golden Valley Township, Rutherford County, North Carolina.2 William registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Rutherford County, North Carolina.5 He was listed as the head of a household in the 1920 Census of Rutherford County, North Carolina. The family included his wife, Zennie Jackson, age 22, his sons, Boyd Jackson, age 4 and Fred Jackson, age 4 months.6 William Jackson, age 36 was listed as the head of a household in the 1930 Census of Cleveland County, North Carolina. The household also included his wife, Zinnie Jackson, age 32, his sons, Boyd Jackson, age 14 and Fred Jackson, age 11.7 William Absalom Jackson died on 11 October 1982.8 He was buried at Wall's Baptist Church, Rutherford County, North Carolina.8
