He claimed exemption from the draft due to a dependent wife and child.2 He was listed as the head of a household in the 1930 Census of Anderson County, South Carolina. The household also included his wife, Carrie King, age 36, his sons, Syredith King, age 15, his mother-in-law, Laura Mangum, age 63.1 Marvin Lyneer King died in March 1963 probably in South Carolina.3
