He served as station agent at Butler, Lancaster, Falmouth, and other cities along this division of the railroadl He worked for the railroad for fifty-three consecutive years and was awarded a diamond studded lapel button for this long and faithful service by the railroad company.²

Williams, age 44, in the 1860 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁵
