     Elizabeth Henson was born circa 1760 Stafford County, Virginia, Since she lived with James' family during the war, the most likely explanation is that she was his wife Mary's younger sister and that Mary and Elizabeth's parents were dead. Of course, this isn't the only possibility, but it's a place to start. Given that she was a Henson (or married one) and that she was living in Stafford, she was probably born there.1 Between 1776 and 1781 Elizabeth Henson lived with the family of James Yelton, Stafford County, Virginia.1 On 15 August 1833 Elizabeth Henson lived in Pendleton County, Kentucky.1

Joseph Hinson Jr. married Margaret Thomasin, daughter of Simon Thomasin, before 6 March 1706.4 On 6 March 1706 Joseph sold to Thomas Ellzey 300 acres on the north side of Potomac Creek, Stafford County, Virginia. The land was the "lowermost part of a parcel of land containing 600 acres formerly granted unto Edwd. Rogers as by patent bearing date the 14th day October 1665 . . . joining unto the land of Charles Wood and extending up the said Creek side to the land of Mathews."5 On 19 February 1730/31 Joseph had surveyed 200 acres near the foot of the Blue Ridge between drafts of Goose Creek and Kittoktan, Prince William County, Virginia. Adjacent to John Warner. The survey identifies Joseph as "of Stafford County."
