An obituary in the Falmouth Outlook stated: At his home in Harper Kansas on June 13th, Theodore Yelton passed peacefully away after two years illness; aged 83 years. He was the oldest child of the late Elijah and Lauthania Yelton. He leaves a wife and several children; one sister Mrs F. M. McClure, Shelbyville, Ky and Thomas and James C. Yelton of Butler. He was a veteran of the Civil War and attended many of the G.A.R. encampments.¹
